Just follow the messy trail and you’ll learn Xero and MYOB

The purpose of a well designed course is to provide a series of steps for students to perform that gives them the knowledge and practical experience they need to learn.

We use a number of different tools and case studies and one of my favourites is the Jerry Lame “. He’s like many people that you’ll meet every day.

Jerry Lame is an ordinary guy who decides to leave his corporate job to start his own business.

He owns his own home, has a family and is tired of commuting to the city every day. He’d rather work closer to home and have a job that gives him more meaning.

Jerry is not a bookkeeper and doesn’t possess the best accounting or office admin skills but he does love talking to people.

Jerry sees opportunities everywhere and as a result he moves from one shiny object to the next, thinking about ways that he can help and earn an income at the same time. This results in him having a VERY MESSY Start Up business that YOU as a student of the course need to fix.

In our Bookkeeping Course case studies Jerry goes through most of the issues facing small business employers every day – and you get to help him out!

Jerry’s Messy Start up Case study is used in all the major Bookkeeping Courses to help you learn QuickBooks Online, MYOB and Xero.

Once sorted out you’ll make sure The Next Quarter is much better organised!

It’s the same for the Microsoft Excel Course

Microsoft Excel is a hard program to learn for many people. It is used to store data, perform calculations and formulas and display information via charts and graphs.

Although you can watch the training videos, it’s when you perform the office admin tasks in our Excel course case studies that you truly understand the power of Excel and how to use it.
