Payroll Administration

MYOB is better than Xero Payroll for some things

All the marketing messages I hear is how much better Xero is than MYOB but that isn’t always the case.

MYOB and QuickBooks both had more in-build inventory features than Xero but Xero has always promoted their integrations to fill gaps in their core software. I wrote about this several times:

The Integrations for Xero Courses reveals some of the powerful features that other companies do better than the accounting software companies!

The feature that one of our recent students asked about was the ability to import timesheet data into Xero. We double checked our MYOB and Xero course contents to confirm that we do teach students how this can be done using MYOB (in our Advanced Payroll Course using MYOB) but that the feature is NOT available in Xero.

Xero’s own software support site states that the software does NOT have this feature. There are however dozens of software integrations which came up, including:

  • Upsheets
  • Deputy
  • TimeDock
  • Aussie Timesheets (see main post image)
  • Rosterelf

Rostering, Timesheets, Time Tracking and Attendance

When you are ready to delve into Advanced Payroll Course topics this course will give you the information and practical examples.

It includes these topics and is available free when you enrol into a Bookkeeping Academy Course Package.
