There have been some big changes in Intuit QuickBooks Online navigation that have given our course development team the nudge to create updated training material.

Some of the biggest changes relate to Customers and leads and that makes sense when you consider that Intuit now owns Mailchimp – one of the largest email marketing service providers in the world.

Lead generation is massive business for software companies and a critical component of the sales process. A whole industry has emerged alongside Google and Facebook to capture the leads from advertising and bring them into your “sales and marketing funnel“.

This includes CRM, Online Form, Popup and content marketing companies.

Everyone talks about Google Ads and Facebook Advertising but they all end up going into an email marketing system like Mailchimp. In the article I wrote about Mailchimp pricing you can see how Mailchimp could end up being a MUCH bigger earner for Intuit.

I reckon that Jack Pilon has one of the most exciting tech jobs in Australia at the moment. He’s Intuits Product Manager and has written about the Integrations between QuickBooks and Mailchimp.

One of the big recent changes for Intuits QuickBooks Online bookkeeping software has been around navigation and changes to menus and this has now been updated. There is a separate menu focused on Customer and Leads and we’ll be keeping a close look at how the integration with Mailchimp affects the QuickBooks Online software.
